Today is going relatively well. It's Sunday and my day for grocery shopping. I woke up at 6am to go to the store as though there is never many people in there at that hour and the produce looks much better in the am for some reason. I shop at the walmart supercenter. I live about 30 minutes outside of Phoenix and I only have two grocery stores about 8 miles away from my house. So walmart is my store of choice. Not only because they offer reasonable prices but they carry a variety of stuff and price match. Being on the juice feasting for 11 days I have learned a lot about the crap I like and do not like much. First, coconut water did not taste good at all. It's possible if I am trapped on a island somewhere I may just die. I don't know. Just maybe the coconut water on islands taste better. If so, there is hope for survival. Anyhow, I purchased the following items kale, spinach, apples, celery, carrots, pears, cucumbers, pineapple and grapes. I need to start purchasing more green items but to be really honest. I don't like it all that much but I try to incorporate it with other items to give it a better taste. By that I mean if I do all green I have to add a couple apples. Whatever, it works for me.As for me, my skin broke out a couple days ago, I'm assuming because I had too many grapefruits. I been using my proactive to try to get rid of if. But since it doesn't seem to be working it could be a rash from too much citrus. I'v been drinking lots of water to keep everything moving. I been having my regular eliminations a couple times daily. I only had one episode where I did not eliminate on my own and had to give myself a slight boost to keep things going in the right direction. Ok...TMI.
Nicole officially started her juice feasting today. However, she is not keen on drinking much of the green veggies. She purchased all the sweet stuff while we were out at the store. So we have to keep a eyeball on her as though she has type 2 diabetes. If her sugar rises she may have to dilute with water or mix with green veggies. We'll see how that goes.
My breakfast contained the following items.Green Lettuce
Cucumber
Spinach
Celery
Kale
2 Apples
It's enough to make me two 32 ounce servings. I use a juiceman juicer. I've learned in my 11 day journey so far it's not a good juicer at all. It's horrible and soon as I have enough money to go by me a better juicer. That's what I intend to do. So after juicing, I have to use my blender to help the process.

I add water to my blender and the pulp and blend it and juice it through a nylon bag made for juicing and sprouting. If you can't find a milk bag in your area, you can purchase a paint strainer from your local hardware store, lowes or home depot have them too. They all work the same.

I saved a lot today. I spent $30 at walmart for produce to last me about 5-6 days. This woman in front of us at the grocery store was going through all her sale papers so walmart can match prices. Nicole, asked her for the paper and let me show you a few of my savings.
Apples (wm price) $1.47 per pound --> paid $0.49 per pound
Organic Carrots (wm price) $0.98 per 1# bag --> paid $0.50 per bag
Grapes (wm price)$1.49 per lb --> paid $0.69 per lb
Pears (wm price)$1.60 per lb --> paid $0.66 per lb
Thank goodness for price match at walmart... yippy
