92 Day Juice Journey

Day 2 of 92

Hey Guys,

I meant to create this blog yesterday as the start of my juice feasting journal. Yesterday was not as bad as I expected. I woke up went to my local grocery store and purchased variety of fruits and veggies for the first week of my journey.

A list of basics:
Celery
Spinach
Apples
Oranges
Carrots
Honeydew
Watermelon
Ginger
Garlic
Red Romaine Lettuce
Cucumbers
and a new juicer. Nothing fancy just a cheap $90 juicer for now. If it doesn't last me for the entire 92 days I suppose I will go out to purchase a "Champion"
The Juiceman does not compare to the more expensive juicers by far. It does what it's suppose to but it does leave my pulp quite wet. I sometimes have to put the pulp through the juicer a second time to get more juice out. But for now it will work for what I need it for. Once I get some money I intend to go purchase me a better juicer.

Anywho that was my journey yesterday. Today is my second day no food only liquid juice. I have been having headaches all throughout the day. For breakfast I was just experimenting with different flavors. I juiced the following: ginger (by the way use very little ginger it has a strong taste), romaine lettuce, half bag of spinach, 1 pear, 1 apple, 20 grapes, 2 carrots, 1 clove of garlic (be very careful with garlic that crap is HOT HOT HOT. So in the end my juice did not taste all too bad but you can clearly taste the ginger eventhough I only used about 1 inch of ginger. The garlic also gave the drink a spicy flavor.

I then drink water, water, water throughout the day. Right before bed I made a better juice that contained all the sweet stuff. I only did this as a test to check my bloodsugar. I wanted to see if using all sweet stuff would it make a huge impact on my blood glucose. Early in the day with the first drink after 30 minutes of drinking it my sugar was 107. Ok. So, my sugar was normal. I must say between yesterday and today this drink had to be by far my best drink ever. It contained handful of strawberries, 20 grapes, 1 apple, 1 pear and 2 carrots. This drink was GREAT!! I loved it and will definately make it again. But first, I need to check my blood glucose to see if all the sweet stuff made any type of difference at all. Oh by the way no I am not diabetic but but my friend is and she can not eat too much sweets or else her sugar goes up extremely fast. I just wanted to see if the different types of fruits and veggies made a difference in my sugar level.

Peace, Love and Happiness
Yo's Out :)

Well folks thats about it for my day. I went to the movies and watched "I can do bad all by myself" it was cool. I liked it a little sad though.
