I am so freaking upset. While browsing the Internet this morning. I got a super bad virus on my laptop. I was having a couple pop ups every minute. My virus software caught the bad virus but I guess it still got through my firewall. I couldn't access anything on my computer. It was horrible I thought for sure my hard drive was done and it would need to be trashed... it seriously was that bad. My virus software removed some of the items. However then the virus software froze and wouldn't do anything else and with all the pop ups it was hard to do anything other than Control, ALT and DELETE. But that only got me so far. I had to reboot my computer but then when it reloaded it was just a blank screen for about 30 minutes no icons, no start, no control panel nothing. I was terrified! Finally after about 40 minutes or so a window popped up asking me how do I want to open the program. I just clicked cancel and it took me to my desktop. Wooohoo.. I'm in. So Then I tried to scan my laptop again and the virus software would even open. I had to use the CMD mode to access the program. Once I was able to scan my laptop again. It found 39 infections and problems. I removed everything it found, then the software requested I reboot the computer. Which I did, but once it restarted I still could not access ANY programs at all but on a good note I was no longer having pop up ads anymore. So then I attempted to scan with Combo Fix but it would not load. So again I had to use the CMD prompt to access it. After which it loaded and scanned. It found about 15 problems and deleted them. My computer restarted once again and after the last scan everything seem to work just fine.
No Pop Ups, No Virus, No Problems... after about 1 hour of hard work!
Don't you just hate virus creators! Seriously, there is so much stuff to do with your time and these fuckers just want to sit home make virus and steal information from other people.
All I have to say to those virus creators is get a life and suck on my middle fingers... Jerks!
Malwarebytes - Rocks at removing hard to find viruses that get pass your firewall or virus software
Combo Fix - Is awesome for finding changes to your pc that Malwarebytes can't get to.
AVG 8 - Good Free Virus Software
Comodo Free Firewall - I use the windows firewall but comodo has been really good at blocking access to my pc that usually get by window firewall.
Techguy - The best internet security forum. The guys at techguy are wonderful and great at assisting you to get virus off your computer. This was the worst virus I ever had. But I have had viruses before that were not so severe and techguy was always there to assist me.
